a. The least expensive way is to take Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART). Their number is (510) 569-8310.
i. Start by going to the AirBART bus stop between Terminal 1 and 2. operates between the Oakland airport and the BART Coliseum/Oakland Airport station daily, approximately every 10 minutes, until midnight. Service begins at 5 a.m., Monday through Saturday, and at 8 a.m. on Sundays and holidays. There is a single shuttle stop for both terminals, located between Terminal 1 and 2 at the airport's third curbside. It takes about 15 minutes.
ii. You’ll arrive at the Coliseum/Oakland Airport BART stop. Take the train towards Richmond. Trains depart frequently, from about 4:30am (weekdays) and 8am (weekends) to midnight. Cost is $2.30. Get off at the North Berkeley station. It takes about 25 minutes
iii. It is a short, 5 block (less than ˝ mile walk from the North Berkeley BART station to Netivot Shalom synagogue. You can also catch a cab at the station. Look for the Google Map called Chevra Kadisha Conference Berkeley – It shows the North Berkeley BART station, the Rodeway and Holiday Inn Hotels, and Netivot Shalom. The hotels are a few blocks from the synagogue.

ii. From the BART station take the train towards Pittsburgh/Bay Point. Transfer at Oakland City Center. Take the train towards Richmond. Trains depart frequently, from about 4:30am (weekdays) and 8am (weekends) to midnight. Cost is $5.95. Get off at the North Berkeley station.
